The ModaPalavra e-periodical Journal makes the call for unpublished scientific research papers known publicly until August 30th, 2017 in order to compose the thematic dossier Technological and Design Aspects of the Surface Design on Fashion Products.

The scheduled time for the publication of the thematic dossier is the first half of 2018 (by January) and the journal accepts research papers written in Portuguese and Spanish.

The Dossier puts forward for consideration the creating and designing processes on what concerns the surface design, aligned with the productive technologies for the fashion industry, taking the technical and the design aspects into account:

• The creative process and techniques related to it;
• The use of suitable design methodologies in the setting of the ​​surface design;
• Inspirational research and market trends studies;
• Awareness of the relations between analogical, gestural and digital techniques;
• Hand drawing and digital imaging technologies;
• The choice of colors and the use of chromatic harmonies;
• Low and high technology of image transfer for textile substrate;
• Technological innovation: visual and tactile resources;
• Contemporary technologies for the construction of textile substrate.

For the regular evaluation process, the articles must be strictly within the norms of the journal and submitted directly to the SEER platform.
