Design for Health is an international refereed journal covering all aspects of design in the context of health and wellbeing. The journal provides a forum for design and health scholars, design professionals, health-care practitioners, educators, and managers worldwide.
Design for Health aims to publish thought-provoking work based on rigorous research and invites high quality, original submissions that make a contribution to knowledge and practice in the context of the design of health products, services, and interventions that promote dignity and enhance quality of life.
We invite Standard articles of between 5,000-7,000 words, including abstracts, notes, references and biographies.
We also invite the following submissions:
• Review Articles of 1500 to 2000 words of relevant books, exhibitions or events.
• Opinion Piece or Positioning Pieces of up to 2000 words.
• Visual Essays of up to 2000 words.
• Project Report / Case Studies describing current practice, of 3000 to 5000 words.
Papers should be submitted as editable files (e.g. Word). All word counts are inclusive of abstract, endnotes, biographies and references. The use of images to accompany articles is welcomed, where appropriate. Three to eight key words summarizing the paper should be indicated.
