Website: Engaging Communities and Connected Home
Deadline for applications: 24 March 2017

The University of Dundee welcomes applications for two PhD studentships in design/HCI for the Internet of Things, based in Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. The deadline for applications is March 24th.

These students will form part of a growing research agenda around the design of open and people-centred IoT. Both PhDs will have opportunities to collaborate with Mozilla Foundation through their Open IoT Studio, in which Dundee plays a leading role.

The two studentships available are as follows:

The posts would be suitable for applicants with backgrounds in computer science, HCI, interaction design or product design, but we also welcome applicants from different backgrounds.

The studentships are fully funded for 3.5 years and are expected begin around October 2017.

Enquiries about both projects can be sent to Nick Taylor and Jon Rogers.
