The aim of the awards program is to discover and draw attention to new creative work, published research, teaching, and service in our broad and varied discipline. We hope to expand the design record, promote excellence and share knowledge within the field.

Design Incubation is a venue for educators and practitioners of Communication Design to discuss design research and practice. We seek to foster collaboration, promote development, encourage discourse, cultivate theoretical frameworks, challenge notions, offer criticism, and review processes within the design community. We include designers across experience levels and backgrounds— practicing designers, graduate students, adjunct and tenure-track faculty through to distinguished professors.
All Applications: June 1–August 31, 2019. Nominations accepted through May 31, 2019: We ask mentors and colleagues to identify outstanding creative work, published research, teaching, and service being done by educators in our field and to nominate these individuals for an award.

- Title: Description of project and outcomes (not to exceed 500 words)
- Supporting Materials: limited to 5-page medium resolution pdf of artwork; web links to websites, videos, other online resources; published documents or visual documents;
- Bio of applicant/s (150 words per applicant)
- A current Curriculum Vitae
