The Ninth International Conference on Concept Mapping will take place in Malta. CMC2020 follows on the success of the first eight International Conferences held in Pamplona (Spain), San José (Costa Rica), Tallinn (Estonia) & Helsinki (Finland), Viña del Mar (Chile), Valletta (Malta), Santos (Brazil) and Tallinn (Estonia), and on the Regional Asia-Pacific conference in Beijing (China), MedellÃn (Colombia), in bringing together scholars and practitioners interested in concept mapping. CMC2020 is being organized by University of Malta (Malta), Ministry for Education and Employment (Malta), IHMC (USA), Tallinn University (Estonia) and the Concept Mapping Academy (Estonia).
The Scientific Program is based on the submission of papers, generally reporting research results, that are selected by peer review for presentation and publishing in various modalities. It is aimed at all persons interested in the use of concept maps (based on the work of Dr. Joseph Novak), including, but not limited to: facilitation of learning; eliciting, capturing, archiving, and using “expert” knowledge; planning instruction; assessment of “deep” understandings; research planning; collaborative knowledge modeling; creation of “knowledge portfolios”; curriculum design; eLearning, and administrative and strategic planning and monitoring. We expect participants from a broad range of fields presenting a wide variety of research and applications of concept mapping. All presentations at the conference are expected to include time for questions, answers, and scholarly discussion.
Languages: Although most of the program is in English, there will be special sessions for Spanish speaker presenters and audience.
Presentation Categories:
All submissions will be evaluated and selected by the Program Committee.
Publication: All papers will be published in CMC 2020 proceedings. The best papers will be published in the special issue of the Journal Knowledge Management & E-Learning (Indexed by ESCI, Scopus).
Authors of all accepted submissions, whether for physical presentations or virtual presentations, need to pay the corresponding conference fee for the submission to be included in the Proceedings and included in the Scientific Program of the conference. Virtual presentations pay a reduced fee.
