Website: Message
Contact: message.journal@plymouth.ac.uk
Deadline for submissions: 9 July 2021
Publication: Autumn 2021
In this special edition, we aim to capture, investigate, interrogate and illuminate how COVID-19 may have impacted not only on Graphic Communication Designers, Illustrators, et al personally, but also on their practice and thoughts about the role of Graphic Communication Design.
Therefore, we ask: with what, why, and how have you responded through Graphic Communication Design during the pandemic and what has unfolded? How in this time
of crisis have you, and we as a community, taken time to help ourselves and our health,
in order to support ourselves and others to become more resilient?
and of itself. We will capture, curate, contextualise and publish what we hope will be
a varied and eclectic range of responses from Graphic Designers, Visual Communicators, Illustrators, et al.
Through this we will unfold and discuss how our discipline may have changed or be changing, then project and speculate how it may develop and utilised in the future.
