The academic host of the conference is Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). The university was established with strong collaboration with MIT, Zhejiang University and Singapore Management University, and focuses on technology and design. The emphasis is on multidisciplinary teaching and well as research, embracing the best of East and West. SUTD has a unique educational structure: it is divided into pillars (architecture, engineering, IT and humanities) and clusters (science and math). It also has a number of research centers such as digital manufacturing, cyber security and smart systems.
The conference agenda includes academic/industry keynote presentations, parallel paper sessions, workshops and panel discussions. Special features include:
CAD'19 welcomes novel contributions on the theory and applications of Computer Aided Design including, but not limited to, modeling, analysis, high-performance graphics, data management, knowledge engineering, collaborative design, reverse engineering, and prototyping. Applications include architecture, bio-medicine, mechanical design, civil engineering, fashion industry, industrial design, sustainable energy design, etc.
CAD'19 is a Save the Trees - Save the Earth conference. All conference materials are stored in the cloud and delivered electronically. That is, the conference program, the proceedings, unpublished journal papers, presentation files as well as videos are available for download only. You may download them to your mobile computer and bring them with you to the conference.
